Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC):
Child Health Card Scheme is a joint project of Niramay and PMC. The Karve Institute of Social Studies mentioned that it is an ideal example of “Public Private Partnership”.
Integrated Child Development Scheme:
Child Immunization program, Malnutrition and health awareness program, are conducted in the outreach of Anganwadi network in the urban slums of Pune. We used to visit 125 Anganwadis bimonthly. Organized training for more than 1500 Anaganwadi workers on 40 health related issues.
Yardi CSR :
Yardi CSR team has supported Niramay for the Vaccine on Wheels-Covid Vaccination Program of Niramay for one unit of mobile dispensary.
Sungard Availability Services(I) Private Limited :
CSR Team of Sungard Availability Services(I) private Ltd has supported Niramay for the Vaccine on Wheels-Covid Vaccination Program of Niramay for one unit of mobile dispensary.
YFS i.e Youth For Seva a forum for youth by Seva Sahayog.
Many Awareness programs are organized with this team to reach more number of beneficiaries for better health of urban poor. Niramay’s work has also drawn the attention of foreign students and researchers interested in working in India. Over the last two years, three foreign students and researchers of public health Pritam Chholi (U.S.) and Sherri Lin (U.S.)—have actively participated in Niramay programmes.
They not only gained greater insights into the health problems plaguing the slum population, but also provided valuable inputs for making Niramay’s interventions more effective in arresting those problems. Pritam has developed audio-visual awareness material by visiting and studying number of Anaganwadis. Sherri had surveyed number of children and their families to know the status of malnutrition in the slum.
Dr. Brian Long (U.K.) had worked with the Niramay’s Medical team to identify the number of cases of malnutrition.
IMA Pune:
The follow up of the cases of malnourished children was taken with the help of IMA Pune and D.Y. Patil Hospital, Pimpri.
ARAI: A joint study program about adolescent anaemia is being conducted in the future.
