Eradication of Malnutrition

Our mission is to ensure every child in Pune has access to the nutrition they need to thrive, grow, and reach their full potential. Through targeted programs, community engagement, and innovative solutions, we strive to create a future free from malnutrition.

Understanding Malnutrition
Malnutrition is a condition that results from an imbalanced diet, lack of essential nutrients, or overnutrition, leading to health issues that affect physical and mental development. In Pune’s slums, many children face severe forms of malnutrition, significantly impacting their growth, immunity, and cognitive abilities. Addressing this issue requires a multifaceted approach

Our Approach
    1.Community Awareness and Education
  • Conducting workshops and awareness campaigns to educate families on the importance of balanced nutrition.
  • Training community health workers to identify and address early signs of malnutrition.
    2.Nutritional Supplementation and Support
  • Providing supplementary nutrition through fortified foods, vitamins, and minerals.
  • Partnering with local organizations and government bodies to enhance the distribution of nutrition supplements.
    3.Healthcare and Medical Support
  • Offering regular health check-ups, growth monitoring, and medical treatment for malnourished children.
  • Establishing nutritional rehabilitation centers equipped with medical and dietary support.
    4.Empowering Families
  • Engaging parents and caregivers in nutrition education programs to empower them with knowledge and skills to improve their children’s diet.
  • Promoting sustainable practices such as kitchen gardening to enhance food security and nutrition at the household level.
