Objective of the project:
To provide- A secured place to study as well as to learn number of activities
- A counseling centre
- A shelter to play
- A elder sister or a guide to talk with or to open up with
- A activity center to learn life skills
- A health care center
- A guidance center for entrepreneurship development
Method of conduction of the program:
- Each center of Kishori Shakti is coordinated by a Sanghatika.
- A basic module of activities is provided to the Kishori Shakti Project Sanghatika.
- The Sanghatika are trained twice a year. The training includes day to day activities as well as new learning.
- Daily 3 hours class will be conducted as per the schedule.
- The activities are modified as per the requirement of the slum.
Initially we have decided to work at seven slums on pilot basis. After internal evaluation of these seven places, we have decided to grow the same activities in 3 more slums. Now in 10 slums Kishori Shakti Centers are operated daily 3 hours.
Fort cleaning activity at Rohida a fort 102 group leaders of daily classes of Kishori Shakti Project, field workers and 25 volunteers, total 166 participants completed the adventure activity on Sunday 11 January 2026. Activity was organised under the guidance of experts of Pune monuntaineers. Initially a session on History of Rohida Fort was conducted, followed by safety instructions for treking and cleaning of Fort. All the participants enjoyed the trekking activity. Had visited the major locations on the fort and cleaned the fort and the road towards the fort with the help of volunteers from AtkinsRealis team. Collected garbage was deposited in the local garbage collection center.
Thalassemia Screening & Awareness Drive
Over 4,000+ Beneficiaries Screened in ongoing Blood-Related Disabilities and Thalassemia Detection Drive Across Pune ICDS Projects An ambitious Blood-Related Disabilities Awareness Drive and large-scale Thalassemia screening and health check-up initiative was successfully initiated for ICDS Anganwadi workers and adolescent girls under the Kishori Shakti Project (KSP) and Anganwadi Services (AWS) across multiple locations in Pune district through 56+ Camps.
As per consolidated beneficiary records, a total of 4337 individuals were screened till 18 December 2025. Further screening camps are scheduled till 5 February 2026 at ICDS project locations including Kelewadi, Ambegaon Pathar, PCMC East (Bopkhel and Bhosari), Raut Wadi, Chavan Nagar, and other field areas.
The camps witnessed enthusiastic participation from Anganwadi Sevikas, Madatnis, and adolescent girls, with systematic collection of blood samples for laboratory testing. Medical professionals conducted the screenings to identify Thalassemia carriers and other hemoglobin-related conditions, enabling early diagnosis and timely counselling.

Niramay has distributed 115 bicycle to school going girls on Saturday 12 July 2025 by the hands of Hon. Guests Hon. Madhuritai Misal, Hon. Adv. S.K. Jain, President Niramay, Hon. Secretary Shri. Jyotikumar Kulkarni, Hon. Trustee, Shri. Umesh Bhosale, Hon. Dattaji Gaikwad, Hon. Trustee Niramay, Mrs.Vaidehi Gaikwad,Hon. Jayant Kirad . 50 girls from NMV school, 50 girls from daily classes of Kishori Shakti Project of Niramay, 15 girls from Swanand Janakalyan Pratishthan were benefited
Kanya Pujan:
Special activity of Kanya Pujan was organized for girls below 8 years of age. Total 150 girls from 24 slums participated in the program
BalDiwali:
BalDiwali was celebrated on 9th October 2025 with the girls and kids from Janata Vashat. More than 250 girls, kids and their parents participated the program. Hon. Mr. Satyendra Rathi and his family members donated new clothes in memory of his daughter Priyam Rathi
Poshan Mah Program
Poshan Mah Program was organized from 15th September 2025 to 16th October 2025. Various competitions and awareness programs were organized for community and Anganwadi Workers from PCMC city. More than 350 Anganwadi workers participated in the program.Hon. CDPO PCMC WEst Trupti Dhere welcomed the dignitaries. Hon. CDPO PCMC East Mr. Suresh Tele, Hon. Security Manager Pune Metro Mr. Kalyanrao Vidhate, HOn. Businessman Mr. Rajesh Mohol attended the program. Special Prizes were distributed to 3 Best Anganwadi Workers, 3 Angawadi Madatnis, 3 Best Recepies and 4 Healthy Kids were awarded in the program. Hon. MLA Uma Khapre, Hon. Dy.Commissioner ICDS Pune Division Mr. Sanjay Mane, HOn. Secretary , Niramay Mr. Jyotikumar Kulkarni felicitated the winners.
We are proud to share that , in academic year 2024-25, 133 girls from 23 daily classes of Kishori Shakti Project of Niramay has successfully passed SSC examination
with great score. 5 girls have scored more than 95% . At the same time 30 girls has passed HSC Examination with high score. A felicitation program was organized on
7th June 2025. Girls from Different slums shared their view about the "१० वी जिंकू या workshop" organized by Niramay for these girls to reduce the stress and score in
SSC and HSC examination. Total 117girls, 10 parents participated int he special felicitation program. Hon. Guest and
Academic Expert Mr. Omkar Banait from Janaprobodhini had explianed various career opportunities to these girls.
Niramay has distributed School kit to 500 + school going adolescent girls from 23 daily classes of Kishori Shakti Project of Niramay.
200 School kit for girls from standard 5th to 7th and 100 kits to girls from standard 8th on words, along with 1900 A4 size notebooks were
distributed to these girls. We believe that this drive will definitely reduce the problem faced by these girls to continue their education
Residential Training Program May 2025 - Kishori Shakti.
Activities conducted:
- Monthly schedule of activities is provided to each Kishori Shakti Sanghatika.
- Daily 1 hour for playing indoor as well as outdoor games. This helps them to channelize their energy towards positive changes.
- For school going girls, daily revision classes are conducted to guide them to solve their problems faced by them.
- Conduction of various activities according to the schedule.
- Other activities are conducted occasionally.
- Training of all these Sanghatika is conducted twice a year.
In order to look after and raise health awareness among adolescent girls forced into early marriage and motherhood by their parents’ poverty and illiteracy, Niramay runs day care centres for such girls and counsels them.
While ensuring that girls do not get married before the age of 18, the programme also supports their education by providing school kits, curricular and career guidance, vocational training, and life skills training in areas ranging from leadership, motivation, value education, and entrepreneurship development, to positive behaviour, healthcare, cleanliness and hygienic habits.
A dedicated Kishori Shakti Sanghatika (community coordinator) is assigned to each centre.
A total of 23 Kishori Shakti centres are conducted in 23 different slums in Pune benefiting more than 3,000 girls.

Kishori Shakti Project
Like every year, Krida Shibir was organized for the beneficiaries of daily classes of Kishori Shakti Project. Different sports competitions were organized from 28th December 2024 to 27th January 2025. Langadi, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Dodge Ball, Running, Kangaroo race and many more sports competitions were organized . First round of competition was organized in 6 places, in which 859 girls from 22 slums participated. Semi final round was organized on 15th , 18th & 21st January 2025 in which 274 girls participated .
Final round & prize distribution was organized on 27th January 2025 at the ground of Shikshn Prasark Mandali. 248 girls were selected for final round.
